RIYADH— Larsen & Toubro’s Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) vertical has secured significant contracts in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, and India, reinforcing its leadership in the sector.
In Saudi Arabia, the company has been awarded a key 380kV substation project designed to facilitate the evacuation of solar power generation, aligning with the Kingdom’s renewable energy ambitions.
In the UAE, L&T’s PT&D division has secured contracts in Dubai to establish a series of extra-high-voltage (EHV) substations, including a 400/132kV substation. These projects aim to bolster the emirate’s power transmission network as part of its vision to maintain its status as a global hub for living, working, and tourism.
The company has won an order to construct a 400kV substation at a key urban development in Kuwait, further strengthening its regional footprint.
In India, L&T has been tasked with implementing an Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) in West Bengal. This state-of-the-art technology integrates outage and distribution management functionalities, enabling real-time monitoring and control of medium and low-voltage networks. The system is expected to enhance grid reliability, reduce downtime, and expedite fault resolution.
