Landmark Group Hosts 16th Beat Diabetes Event

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, Jan. 26, 2026 (GMD) – The Landmark Group announced on Sunday the 16th edition of its Beat Diabetes Family Event, to be held at Dubai’s Zabeel Park on February 8.

The event, a community health initiative launched in 2009, will feature a two-kilometer walk, free blood glucose testing, fitness activities, and a children’s zone. It is supported by Dubai Sports Council, Al Jalila Foundation, and Emirates Health Services.

Organisers said the event aligns with the UAE’s ‘Year of the Family’ and aims to promote diabetes prevention and active lifestyles. The initiative has engaged over 165,000 participants across the Gulf since its inception.

With the Middle East among regions highly affected by diabetes, the event focuses on early detection and education. A key feature is the ‘Superkidz’ programme, which engages children through activities and a writing competition with school partner GEMS Education.

Ticket proceeds and donations collected across Landmark Group’s UAE stores will be directed to the Al Jalila Foundation to support diabetes research and treatment, ensuring a lasting community impact.
