JIZAN, Saudi Arabia — Jazan Region stands out for its natural diversity and environmental richness, helping establish it as a leading tourist destination in southern Saudi Arabia, supported by integrated tourism and investment assets that reflect geographical harmony and a variety of attractions.
The region’s mountainous areas are among the most prominent features of this diversity, characterized by striking natural beauty, where green peaks merge with mist in panoramic scenes that highlight significant environmental and geographical variety. This makes the area a promising tourist destination, with mountain parks and natural waterfalls adding to its appeal for visitors seeking adventure.
The mountainous governorates in the region reflect both natural richness and investment potential, with the peaks of Al-Dayer Bani Malik, Al-Aridah, Al-Edabi, and Fayfa rising between 2,000 and 3,000 meters above sea level and forming several notable ranges.
These highlands offer sweeping views, a moderate climate and dense forests rich in plant and wildlife. They are home to a variety of birds and wild animals, as well as inhabited villages and terraced farms producing diverse crops. In other areas, rugged terrain with high peaks and steep slopes attracts climbing and adventure enthusiasts, along with visitors interested in historical and natural sites, including ancient inscriptions dating back thousands of years and traditional stone-built villages that retain their architectural character.
Development of these areas continues to receive support from the leadership in line with Saudi Vision 2030, through tourism and agricultural projects, infrastructure development and efforts to enhance the investment environment, helping attract capital and diversify the local economy.
