Accor to Rebrand Iconic Jeddah Hotel as Swissôtel

JEDDAH, Jan 26,2026 (GDM) – French hospitality giant Accor will renovate and rebrand an iconic Jeddah hotel under its Swissôtel flag, it announced Monday, marking a long-term partnership with local group Arabian Hotels & Catering.

The 323-room Swissôtel Jeddah Al Hamra, a landmark in the city’s Al Hamra district since 1984, will undergo a two-year transformation. The phased refurbishment aims to align the property with Swissôtel’s standards while retaining its existing character.

The project supports Saudi Vision 2030’s objectives to diversify the economy and grow tourism. Accor’s regional president, Raki Phillips, said the hotel would set “a new benchmark honouring its heritage while embracing a bold and modern future.”

Accor operates over 40 properties in the Kingdom, with more than 60 further projects planned, reinforcing its position as a leading hospitality group in the market.
