Aldar awards AED66bn in contracts in 2025, 45% to UAE economy

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates, Feb 4, 2026 (GDM) — Abu Dhabi-based developer Aldar announced on Wednesday that it awarded development contracts worth AED66 billion (approximately $18 billion) during 2025, covering residential, commercial, infrastructure and logistics projects across the UAE.

The contracts form part of Aldar’s strategy to support the UAE’s long-term economic diversification, industrial growth and social development goals.

Under the UAE’s National In-Country Value (ICV) Programme, nearly 45 percent of the total contract value — AED30 billion — will be recirculated directly into the local economy through UAE-based contractors, suppliers and workforce participation.

Aldar said it continues to prioritise local firms in its procurement processes to build domestic construction capacity while maintaining international quality, safety and sustainability standards.

The awarded projects include large-scale residential communities, Grade A commercial buildings, modern logistics facilities and strategic infrastructure developments in key growth areas.

Collectively, they will deliver thousands of new homes, advanced commercial and industrial spaces, and essential infrastructure aligned with evolving market needs and sustainable urban planning.

“The AED66 billion in contracts awarded in 2025 reflects the strong development momentum across the UAE and Aldar’s central role in delivering high-impact assets that drive long-term economic and social prosperity,” said Adel Albreiki, Chief Executive Officer of Aldar Projects.

He added: “With almost half the value flowing back into the national economy, these projects will sustain thousands of jobs, strengthen local supply chains and accelerate delivery of critical residential, commercial and infrastructure developments.”

Major contract highlights include:

  • Abu Dhabi: Fibrex appointed for Mamsha Gardens and Nobu Residences on Saadiyat Island; Dutco Construction Company awarded the main package at The Arthouse; Shapoorji Pallonji Mid East secured Fahid Beach Residences on Fahid Island. Other awards went to China State Construction Engineering Corporation (Middle East), Western Bainoona Group, Nael & Bin Harmal Hydroexpert, Yas Projects, Said Bin Darwish and Noor Al Sahara General Contracting for various national housing and infrastructure schemes.
  • Dubai: Ginco General Contracting for villas and townhouses at Athlon; Nurol LLC for main works at Verdes by Haven; Mohammed Abdulmohsin Al Kharafi & Sons for villas at The Wilds; Al Nasr Contracting for infrastructure works; Amana Contracting for Aldar Logistics Centres at National Industries Park.
  • Ras Al Khaimah: Shapoorji Pallonji awarded packages for the Al Marjan Beachfront development.

All contractors are required to hold valid ICV certification and comply with Aldar’s sustainability performance criteria.

Since the ICV programme began in 2020, Aldar has reinvested AED67 billion into the UAE economy, with its annual ICV contribution rising sharply from AED0.25 billion in the first year to AED30 billion in 2025.

Aldar also partners with the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) on the region’s first Sustainability Incentive Programme for suppliers, linking environmental performance to financial and non-financial rewards in support of the UAE’s Net Zero by 2050 goal.
