Arabian Travel Market 2025 to Spotlight Booming Luxury Travel Sector

Global luxury tourism forecast to reach USD391 billion by 2028

Dubai, UAE : The Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025 will put the spotlight on luxury travel as global demand surges, driven by rising wealth and a growing appetite for premium experiences. Set to take place from 28 April to 1 May at Dubai World Trade Centre, the event will feature the world’s leading luxury hospitality brands and destinations.

According to McKinsey & Company, the global luxury tourism sector is projected to soar from USD239 billion in 2023 to USD391 billion by 2028, outpacing other industries. The Asia-Pacific region is leading this growth, accounting for 38% of visitors to the GCC in 2023, with a 27% increase in Asian exhibitors at ATM this year.

Top brands including Mandarin Oriental, Four Seasons, One&Only, Kempinski, and Jumeirah will showcase their offerings, alongside luxury destinations like the Maldives, Mauritius, and Peru. Danielle Curtis, Exhibition Director ME, ATM, said: “Asia’s growing wealth is reshaping luxury travel, making the Middle East a prime destination for high-net-worth travellers.”

The GCC’s expanding hospitality sector is well-positioned to meet demand, with 400,000 new hotel rooms expected by 2030. Sustainability, experiential travel, and enhanced connectivity are also transforming the luxury segment.

Under the theme ‘Global Travel: Developing Tomorrow’s Tourism Through Enhanced Connectivity’, ATM 2025 will host expert-led sessions exploring trends such as hyper-personalisation, generational influences, and sustainable luxury.

ATM remains the Middle East’s leading travel event, attracting 47,000 attendees and generating USD2.5 billion in deals annually. Strategic partners include Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism, Emirates, IHG Hotels & Resorts, and Al Rais Travel.
