DUBAI — A new 215,000-square-foot logistics hub in Jebel Ali Free Zone has opened with the goal of dramatically speeding up delivery of automotive spare parts across the UAE and the wider Gulf region, where the aftermarket sector continues to expand at roughly 5% a year.
The state-of-the-art facility, operated by Gallega Global Logistics, is designed to handle more than 10 million parts annually and will run 24/7. It is expected to create over 200 jobs and comes online at a time when rising vehicle numbers, longer average vehicle lifespans and the accelerating adoption of electric vehicles are driving stronger demand for fast, reliable spare parts availability.
The hub features a modern Warehouse Management System, a multi-size delivery fleet for both last-mile and regional distribution, and specialized infrastructure for safely storing and handling electric vehicle batteries — an increasingly important capability as EV penetration rises across the GCC.
Located in one of the world’s busiest free zones, the facility benefits from direct connections to Jebel Ali Port, Al Maktoum International Airport and major regional highways, positioning it to serve automotive distributors, workshops and fleet operators throughout the Gulf.
The project is the result of a strategic partnership between Ghassan Aboud Holding, EasyLease and DP World. The formal agreement was signed February 11, 2026 under the patronage of Ghassan Aboud, chairman of Ghassan Aboud Holding, and Abdulla Bin Damithan, CEO and managing director of DP World GCC.
Sheikh Saeed Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, vice chairman of EasyLease, and Abdulla Al Hashmi, chief operating officer of Parks and Zones at DP World GCC, executed the agreement.
Industry executives say the timing is critical.
“The automotive aftermarket in the GCC is growing steadily at around 5% annually,” Bin Damithan said. “That growth requires smarter, more resilient distribution networks. This hub reflects confidence in Dubai’s ability to serve as the long-term regional base for efficient multi-market supply chains.”
Ghassan Aboud, chairman of Ghassan Aboud Holding, described the facility as a direct response to evolving market needs.
“This hub strengthens supply chain resilience and supports both conventional and electric vehicle aftermarket requirements through scalable, technology-enabled logistics,” he said.
Sara Rachid, CEO of Gallega Global Logistics, said the operation complements the company’s existing automotive services — including finished vehicle logistics, pre-delivery inspection, repairs and maintenance — and aims to deliver faster, more dependable service to OEMs and distributors across the region.
The new center is expected to reduce vehicle downtime for businesses, improve parts availability for consumers and set a practical benchmark for future multi-user automotive logistics facilities in the Gulf.
