NEW DELHI, India— Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, held a series of high-level meetings with leaders from India, Europe and Asia on the sidelines of the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi, underscoring the UAE’s drive to deepen strategic partnerships in artificial intelligence and advanced technologies.
Arriving in the Indian capital on behalf of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince was accorded a ceremonial reception, reflecting the strong ties between Abu Dhabi and New Delhi.
In talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sheikh Khaled conveyed the greetings of the UAE President and reaffirmed the depth of the UAE-India strategic partnership. The two sides discussed expanding cooperation in economic and technology sectors, including investments in healthcare and insurance, while advancing sustainable development models aligned with the evolving global economy.
The Crown Prince also met Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, reviewing avenues to broaden UAE-France strategic cooperation. Discussions focused on artificial intelligence, advanced technologies, research and innovation ecosystems, as well as knowledge exchange and talent development to enhance the competitiveness of priority sectors and accelerate digital transformation.
In a separate meeting with Swiss President Guy Parmelin, Sheikh Khaled welcomed Switzerland’s announcement of its interest in partnering with the UAE to host the 2027 AI Impact Summit in Geneva, ahead of the UAE’s hosting of the 2028 edition. Both sides stressed the importance of advancing balanced global AI governance frameworks that foster innovation while safeguarding communities.
Sheikh Khaled also met Anura Kumara Dissanayake, President of Sri Lanka, with discussions focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation across investment, trade and tourism, and exploring new opportunities in key developmental sectors. The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to advancing ties to deliver mutual benefits and support long-term economic growth.
The summit, which brings together heads of state and government leaders, reflects the UAE’s commitment to consolidating international partnerships to harness advanced technologies in support of sustainable economic and social development. The UAE delegation includes senior officials overseeing artificial intelligence, digital economy, health and strategic research portfolios, highlighting Abu Dhabi’s ambition to position itself as a leading global hub for responsible AI innovation.
