Singapore Airlines to launch non-stop Riyadh flights

Riyadh, Feb 3, 2026 (GDM) — Singapore Airlines will launch four-times weekly non-stop flights between Singapore and Riyadh from June 2026, marking its return to the Saudi capital amid growing business and travel demand.

The carrier will operate the medium-haul variant of its Airbus A350-900 aircraft, configured with 303 seats across two cabin classes — 40 in Business Class and 263 in Economy Class.

Subject to regulatory approvals, flight SQ498 will depart Singapore for Riyadh on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 1820 local time, with the return flight SQ499 leaving Riyadh at 2300 on the same days.

Singapore Airlines’ chief commercial officer Lee Lik Hsin said the resumption of services reflects Riyadh’s rising regional importance.

“Our return to Riyadh comes amid its thriving business environment and ambitious development, which make it one of the Middle East’s most dynamic cities,” Lee said. “Beyond a new destination, this service will potentially allow us to work with our partners to offer customers additional travel options across the region.”

Riyadh will become the Singapore Airlines Group’s second destination in Saudi Arabia, complementing low-cost subsidiary Scoot’s four-times weekly service to Jeddah.

Saudi Arabia’s capital is the Kingdom’s administrative and financial centre and offers visitors historic sites such as Diriyah and the Masmak Fortress, alongside museums, luxury hotels, shopping and dining attractions.

According to the airline, its inaugural non-stop services will begin on June 2, 2026. Between June 2 and Oct 24, 2026, flights will operate with SQ498 departing Singapore at 1820 and arriving in Riyadh at 2145, while SQ499 will depart Riyadh at 2300 and arrive in Singapore at 1215 the following day.

From Oct 25, 2026, to March 27, 2027, SQ498 will depart Singapore at 1740 and arrive in Riyadh at 2135, with the return service SQ499 leaving Riyadh at 2250 and landing in Singapore at 1150 the next day. All flights will be operated using the Airbus A350-900 medium-haul aircraft.

Tickets for the Riyadh services will go on sale progressively through Singapore Airlines’ distribution channels, subject to regulatory approvals.
