World record breaking daredevil arrives in Dubai
DUBAI- The world’s greatest dare devil has arrived in Dubai in search of a new location for his next death defying stunt.
Bello Nock, who is in the Guinness Book of World Records for the highest ever wire walk, has also performed several incredible stunts in New York at landmarks such as Madison Square Garden and The Statue of Liberty.
He arrived in Dubai yesterday (June 17th) and took a tour of the city with his entourage – looking at a range of sites at which to take on another record breaking stunt.
The father-of-three, who is a seventh generation circus performer, said: “This is my first time in the Middle East and I’m excited by the endless possibilities for stunts here.“
Looking at iconic venues such as the Burj Al Arab and The Burj Khalifa , the Time Magazine Entertainer of the Year is also looking to the public to help him on his quest.
“There are so many amazing, iconic structures here in Dubai, it will be difficult to choose where to perform my next stunt. I’m hoping locals with a knowledge of their home city will be able to help,” added Bello, who is also well known for his trademark giant flat top hairstyle.
“I am here to promote my latest most daring stunt yet, ‘The Ultimate’ and Dubai seems very in keeping with it – everything here is the biggest, the best – the ultimate”, he said. “My first trip to Dubai has been an inspirational one, the welcome has been outstanding. The overall vibe here is so positive and I can’t wait to come back here and perform”
The trip to Dubai is part of a tour around the world which will culminate in ‘The Ultimate’ performance in Las Vegas where Bello will perform 15 death defying stunts in 15 minutes or less.
Bello Nock has amazed millions of people in his live performances in the last decade alone with his jaw-dropping daredevil talents including hanging by his toes from a trapeze under a helicopter over the Statue of Liberty, has repelled from the roof of Madison Square Garden, and has ridden an elephant through NYC’s Midtown Tunnel.
Bello starred with the Big Apple Circus for three seasons and wooed millions as the star of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, becoming the only person in the company’s history to have a production named after him.
