USD 3.7 billion projects underway to save 40% of consumed energy in Saudi Arabia
RIYADH-The demand for energy is at an all time high in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), as it experiences a rise in all forms of lighting – including lighting setups for factories, energy plants and airports, emergency lighting systems for office and residences and other innovative lighting solutions like the ones used in economic cities and universities. The Saudi Ministry of Water and Electricity is currently seeking to adopt cutting edge lighting solutions to regulate the consumption of electricity and reduce its wastage. To this effect, the Ministry has awarded projects worth USD 3.7 billion, with an aim to save 40 per cent of the consumed energy.
To throw the spotlight on the latest products and services for the power sector, Saudi Energy 2014 – The International Trade Exhibition for Electricity, Power Generation, Alternative Energy, Water Technology and Lighting, will take place from May 26 to 28, 2014 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Centre. To be held under the patronage of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Water and Environment, the event is organized by Riyadh Exhibitions Company and Informa Exhibitions.
Saudi Energy is one of the largest and most functional energy exhibitions in the region encompassing all segments of the sector. Driven by an upsurge in demand for power and massive regional investment in the sector, specialized companies will be present at the event to promote their offerings to the visitors from the Middle East which will enable them to gain entry into the lucrative Saudi power industry. Saudi Energy will also be a platform for the local companies to look up to the international corporations for possible collaboration to achieve their target.

The event will host nearly 314 exhibitors from 28 countries who will showcase their products, services and technologies to more than 7,500 professional visitors from Saudi Arabia and the region.
