Sharjah attracts a number of UAE and world dignitatries, industry leaders at ATM

DUBAI- This year Sharjah has made its strongest impact to date at the Arabian Travel Market, 2014, Dubai. Today(May 5th) the stand welcomed UAE dignitaries, world leaders and representatives from the international travel and tourism industry. Led by Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, the Emirate is once again exhibiting at the ATM Dubai, from May 5th to 8th in Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, for the 17th year. Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority has been joined by other Sharjah government departments along with the private sector of the tourism industry.

AH1W4402This year the stand has fully embraced Sharjah’s title as Islamic Culture Capital for 2014 which is reflected in the distinct, contemporary design of this year’s stand The 558-square metre Sharjah stand represents and reflects the various facets of Sharjah’s tourism experience, its tourist attractions, projects and renowned international festivals and events hosted by the Emirate throughout the year.  The visitors to the stand are treated to traditional Emirati hospitality and brochures and promotional literature about Sharjah in Arabic and English.

At the Sharjah Pavilion, Mohamed Ali Al Noman, Chairman, Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, received Sheikha Boudour Bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson, Shurooq, Sheikh Abdul Aziz Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman, Ajman Tourism and other dignitaries about Sharjah’s tourism product and features and various recent developments.  He also received a number of senior government figures and decision makers and industry leaders from the region and beyond.

Speaking at the exhibition, Al Noman expressed his delight over the success Sharjah has achieved over the past few years in earning itself an enviable position alongside the leading global destinations of the world based on its careful management and promotion of its strong cultural legacy and heritage.

AH1W4752With more than 3,200 participants from 90 countries, the ATM Dubai is expected to exceed all expectations this year with over 25,000 visitors from various nationalities attending. This increased attendance has certainly been reflected in the number of delegates, investors and business leaders visiting Sharjah’s stand. The ATM is traditionally a strong platform for generating forward business and this year appears to be no different. Mr Al Noman has always  prioritised the ATM as the perfect place to showcase Sharjah to the world.

Al Noman said “ATM is the most popular and prestigious travel exhibition of the industry in the region, it offers us the perfect platform to present Sharjah’s tourism product, featuring culture, heritage and leisure opportunities to the world. This year we are proud to include so many new developments and projects which have been launched in the Emirate.  Most notably, Al Montazah Park, a new water themed amusement park and garden with lots of attractions and entertainment for the young and old, besides a number of new luxury hotel facilities that will cater to the growing number of international visitors and investors from across the region and around the world.
