Issued by Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities’ (SCTA) Center for Tourist Information and Research, the report further said that the volume of expenditures on domestic tourism in the Kingdom, during the past year, exceeded 28 billion Saudi riyals and that the total Saudis working in the tourism sector amounted to 203,2 thousand, by the end of 2013, representing a rate of (27,1 %) of the total employees in direct jobs, pointing that the contribution of the tourism sector to the Kingdom’s GDP in the Kingdom amounted to 75 billion Saudi riyals in 2013, representing 2,7% of GDP.-SPA
