Royal Jordanian Goes Digital with GE Aerospace in Bold Tech Overhaul
Amman, Jordan: Royal Jordanian is accelerating its digital transformation journey with a major new deal, signing a five-year agreement with GE Aerospace to adopt a suite of advanced flight operations software. The landmark move will see Jordan’s national carrier implement GE’s cutting-edge Software as a Service (SaaS) tools – Fuel Insight and Safety Insight – to elevate fuel efficiency, bolster safety standards, and enhance operational performance.
The partnership marks GE Aerospace’s first SaaS collaboration with Royal Jordanian and reflects the airline’s growing commitment to embracing digital technologies to streamline operations. As the Kingdom’s flagship carrier, operating flights to more than 45 global destinations, Royal Jordanian is poised to unlock significant performance gains through data-driven insights.
Fuel Efficiency Meets Sustainability
At the heart of the new agreement is Fuel Insight, a powerful analytics platform that allows airlines to monitor and optimise fuel usage. The software analyses flight data to pinpoint inefficiencies, uncover cost-saving opportunities, and support sustainability goals by reducing carbon emissions.
Safety First with Data-Driven Tools
Meanwhile, Safety Insight will enhance the airline’s approach to risk management by identifying and mitigating safety issues before they become problems. This includes real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance capabilities, and support for Flight Operations Quality Assurance (FOQA) – all aimed at ensuring the highest safety standards across Royal Jordanian’s expanding fleet.
RJ CEO: ‘A Game-Changer for Our Future’
“We are pleased to partner with GE Aerospace to leverage their cutting-edge Software as a Service solutions,” said Eng. Samer Majali, Vice Chairman and CEO of Royal Jordanian. “This agreement marks a significant step forward in our commitment to enhancing operational efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.”
GE Aerospace: Longstanding Partnership with a Regional Leader

Royal Jordanian and GE Aerospace have enjoyed a strong partnership spanning decades. Earlier this year, the airline also selected 18 GEnx-1B engines from GE Aerospace to power its new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner fleet.
GE Aerospace continues to expand its presence in the Middle East, supporting over 30 airlines and a fleet of more than 1,400 engines. With 250+ employees based across the region, and facilities in Dubai, Doha, and at the Middle East Technology Center (MTC), GE Aerospace is committed to helping its customers meet evolving challenges with innovation and efficiency.
