Pera Palace Hotel Jumeirah celebrates 80 years of ‘Murder on the Orient Express’
ISTANBUL- Pera Palace Hotel Jumeirah, recently named as one of the 10 most iconic hotels in the world by Thrillist.com, an American travel website, is offering a special package to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Murder on The Orient Express.
The detective novel, set in Istanbul, was written in 1934 by renowned murder mystery writer Agatha Christie who once stayed at the hotel. Valid between 1 June and 31 December 2014, the Travel in Time with Agatha package will enable guests to rediscover the history and city of Istanbul as well as the tastes of the Orient Express.
In this very special experience, guests will first be welcomed with cocktails created in dedication to the hotel’s famous guests. History continues with a quick journey in Turkey’s first electric elevator to room 411, the Agatha Christie Room, renowned for its mystery. The tour ends at Pera Palace’s renowned Orient Bar where unique flavours are offered to our guests with a tailor made Orient Express Menu.
Finally, guests are offered a copy of the novel, as a gift to remember this special experience. The package includes guided visits to the historic Sirkeci Railway Station, The Railway Station Museum and two nights’ stay for two in the Agatha Christie Room at 411 Euros per night.
