Jazz@PizzaExpress launches chef’s table for diners to create their own pizza

leggera margheritaDUBAI- Most of us have an opinion on what makes the perfect pizza, whether it’s the thickness of the crust, quantity of tomato paste or the variety of toppings. JLT’s fashionable Jazz@PizzaExpress has the answer.

Launched just this month, their Chef’s Table gives guests behind-the-scenes access and the opportunity to learn insider secrets from the restaurant’s pizzaiolos and create their very own pizza – just the way they like it.

Ideal for families, birthday parties and corporate team building, the fun-packed two-hour sessions cater to groups of seven to 10 people and are priced at AED 99 per person with soft drinks, and AED 149 per person with three house beverages.

cipolliniFollowing a brief history of PizzaExpress, it’s time to be entertained and watch the craftsmen at work as an expert tutorial shows exactly how to knead and flare to achieve the classic pizza base. The black and white decked pizzaiolos then demonstrate exactly how to add the tomato sauce and toppings to create the optimum flavour.

Then it’s the guests chance to get hands-on, stretch their own dough and choose from an almost limitless selection of toppings in which to personalise their pizza. To add even more fun, prizes are awarded for the best dough flaring and the overall most impressive masterpiece. The session ends with everyone tucking in to their creations.

“As each of our restaurants has an open kitchen, diners can always watch their pizza being freshly crafted by our pizzaiolos. But we wanted to give customers the chance to stand the other side of the counter and create their very own. The sessions are great fun and are already proving extremely popular,” commented Anand Radia, Managing Director of PizzaExpress UAE.
