Governments of Sharjah, Comoros sign MoU
SHARJAH- The Government of Sharjah and Government of Republic of Comoros Islands today(May 28th) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for management and operation of a hospital which will be built at the expense of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, in Comoros’ capital Moroni.
Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed bin Khaled Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department, and Secretary General of Sharjah Endowments Department, who inked the MoU in Sharjah with Fouad Mohadji, Vice President of the Comoros and acting health minister, said the Secretary General of Sharjah Endowments Department will oversee the construction, management and operation of the health facility in Moroni.
He noted that Sheikh Sultan’s special care for the project underpins the U.A.E.wise leadership’s keenness on pursuing its significant efforts to implement health initiatives in different parts of the world and deliver better healthcare services to the people of Comoros.
For his part, Mohadji expressed his profound thanks to the leadership, government and people of the U.A.E. as well as to the Government of Sharjah for the great support for his country.
Recently, the U.A.E. inaugurated the Khalifa bin Zayed Hospital in the Comoros, which was built by the Khalifa bin Zayed Foundation.-WAM
