World Space Risk Forum 2014 begins

DUBAI- Leaders from the Global Space industry have returned to Dubai for the 3rd World Space Risk Forum 2014 which takes place between the 13th and 15th May 2014 at Raffles Dubai.

This globally established biennial event focuses on space risk management and space insurance, bringing together leading professionals representing all aspects of the space industry. The predominant focus of the event is on understanding and mitigating risk so as to further promote business development and exploration in space.

All sectors of aerospace, communications, earth observation, and other space-related industries, as well as representatives of government agencies, science organizations, academia, in addition to all the major global insurance brokers and underwriter companies, will be present at the three day event in Dubai. Attendees will enjoy panelist sessions and workshops that focus on the three key topics “New Capital. New Threats. New Markets”.

Laurent Lemaire, organiser of The World Space Risk Forum and Managing Director of DIFC-based Elseco, the largest space underwriting entity worldwide, commented:“We are excited to welcome leaders from the global space industry to Dubai to experience the most important space risk forum in the world.
