Welfare challenges in focus at Digital Health Days in Stockholm

STOCKHOLM- The second ever Digital Health Days in Stockholm will take place on August 25-26. Stockholm Business Region will be moderating a seminar on the major health challenges we will be facing in the future, and the solutions companies in the Stockholm region may present.

New technology is currently transforming the healthcare system. The international conference Digital Health Days puts tomorrow’s healthcare on the agenda. Overweight, depression and an aging populating are challenges for a world striving to achieve a better standard of living, and already pose a challenge to our welfare system.

imagesimagesStockholm Business Region is holding a seminar at Digital Health Days that will present some of the solutions available in Digital Health in the Stockholm region. The seminar will address how new technology impacts the development of new treatment methods and pharmaceuticals.

“We have several companies in the Stockholm region who are extremely prominent in Digital Health. We’re going to talk about their products at the seminar, and we’ll also get to hear why one of our companies achieved global success,” says the moderator, Ylva Hultman, Business Development Manager at Stockholm Business Region Development. “We have a long tradition of research here, from Nobel to today’s open data, and this is what makes us outstanding.”

Seminar participants include Hoa Ly from Hoa’s Tool Shop, which developed an app that reduces the number of therapy sessions for people with depression, Cecilia Bergh from Mandometer, which developed a treatment for eating disorders, and Jonas Jendi, one of the founders of Cogmed.

The seminar will take place on Monday, August 25 at 1:00 p.m. at Digital Health Days, Stockholmsmässan.
