UAE’s Largest Kids Festival This Weekend At Du Arena, Yas Island

ABU DHABI – This weekend, Yas Island hosts the UAE’s first and largest festival especially for kids, the Yas Kidz Fest from 21st to 23rd February, 2 pm to 9 pm each day. The du Arena will transform into an adventurous outdoor party for kids with imaginative play zones, play town and inflatable zone, little chef zone, sports and fitness activities, a kid’s silent disco and live entertainment shows on the main stage.

Joining the lineup of non-stop fun at Yas Kidz Fest, there will be a Mad Science Discovery Zone, Kidz Funfair Zone and Soccer and Cricket Zone. The Mad Science Discovery Zone will bring hands-on science experiences for kids with 30-minute shows every hour providing highly interactive, fascinating science demonstrations. There will be chemical reactions, bubbling potions, slimy science and dry ice magic to spark kids imaginations.

Kids can get active and test their skills in the Soccer and Cricket Zone, with other activities including archery, air hockey and fitness sessions. There will also be hours of fun at the kids play town and inflatable zone where they can race around, climb through hoops and jump down slides.

For the little ones there is a special funfair with a range of traditional rides from the carousel to a toy train. Stilt walkers, jugglers and clowns will be popping up throughout the festival and there will be the chance to meet the UAE’s favourite tv character Hamdoon.

MasterChef India winner Nikita Gandhi will be popping into Yas Kidz Fest, hosting a series of exclusive kids’ cookery classes in the Little Chef Zone to get the junior chefs creative in the kitchen and inspire them to have fun with food, be it sweet, savoury, healthy or fruity flavours.

When it’s time for a pit stop there will be plenty of options to grab some tasty bites and head to the Main Stage where there will be non-stop live performances including favourite local DJ and magician Magic Phil.

Don’t forget to dress up for the occasion with fancy dress competitions and the chance to win prizes throughout the weekend. On Thursday it’s Animal themed, on Friday dress up as a superhero and on Saturday it’s Disney day. To register for the fancy dress competitions visit www.kidzfest.ae

Activities at Yas Kidz Fest are organised in age range from 6 – 18 months, 2 years, 3 – 4 years, 5 – 10 years, so there will be something for everyone to experience. The full schedule of entertainment on the main stage and cookery classes in the Little Chef Zone is now available online.
