DOHA- UAE’s Al-Wasl beat Kuwait SC 87-81 in the semi-finals of the Gulf Cooperation Council’s (GCC) Basketball Championship, in a game held in Doha on Friday(May 16th).
Kuwait fought back and was leading 66-65 at the end of the third quarter, but the final saying was for the United Arab Emirates team.
The two teams exchanged quarters in the first half, and were almost equal on the floor in the third.
Al-Wasl succeeded in winning the clash in the final seconds of the fourth quarter, leaving Kuwait to play for the silver medal.-KUNA
