Antoine Sayegh, president of Gloria Hotels & Resorts, said that Gloria Al Salam Hotel Sharjah and Gloria Al Salam Resort Oman in the area of Buraimi is a new addition to the Gloria hotels group: 2,029 suites in the Gloria Hotel and the Yassat Gloria Hotel Apartments in Dubai, 307 guest rooms and suites in the Gloria Hotel Fairouz Al Massy in Medina, and 156 guest rooms and suites in Gloria Downtown Hotel in Abu Dhabi.

This addition comes as part of the group’s giant expansion plan in the UAE, the Gulf, and the Middle East. These types of hotels do not offer alcohol and cater to all family members with the aim of providing ultimate customer satisfaction. Businessmen can also benefit from the special packages offered at each of these hotels.

Sheikh Yaqoub bin Karam, chairman of Bin Karam Modern Investment Company which owns the hotel and resort, said that “our selection of Gloria Hotels & Suites [to manage the hotel] stems from our confidence in its premium touristic and hospitality services within the context of family-friendly hotels. The company also specializes in the management of [so-called “family friendly hotels”] hotels that do not offer alcoholic beverages and all its services respect Arab family customs and traditions.

[Gloria group also] adopts the latest and highest international hospitality standards, and has offered a unique experience in the tourism industry, employing years-long expertise. [The group] was able to acquire a large share of the local, Gulf, and international market.

He added: We expect this agreement to be a precursor to the establishment of a chain of hotels bearing the name of Gloria management next to Al Salam in the Sultanate, which will provide the same level of services and introduce new concepts to the tourism industry and the world of hospitality. We also aspire to increase tourist traffic as sought by the Sultanate through opening the Gloria Al Salam Resort. The opening will serve many aspects of tourism, such as health and sports tourism, conferences, and exhibitions, as it includes a concert and conference hall that accommodates 2,000 people, in addition to a football stadium, an Olympic-size swimming pool, spa, tennis court, billiards and bowling area, a swimming pool for children with an artificial river and waterfall, and other entertainment services.
