Turkish Airlines highlights ‘TourIstanbul’ for international passengers at ATM

DUBAI- Turkish Airlines will highlight the ‘TourIstanbul’ service for international passengers, at Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2014.

An unmatched service that enables visitors to see all that Turkey has to offer, ‘TourIstanbul’ complements Istanbul’s title as the most recommended destination of 2014 by global-scale travellers.

Provided complimentary to passengers with stopovers of over six hours in Istanbul, ‘TourIstanbul’ enables visitors to gain vivid insights into ‘the city that sits on two continents,’ all-inclusive of transportation, food and beverage, and city-wide tours, with no bookings required.

Providing a 360-degree overview on Istanbul, visitors will have the opportunity to visit the city’s renowned historic and cultural sites, which present fascinating facets into Turkey’s history.

Instead of waiting at Istanbul Ataturk Airport, passengers with six to 24 hours before their next connecting flight can stop by the Hotel Desk, drop off their luggage, and hop on to a shuttle bus for the excursion with a professional tour guide.

Dr. Ali Genc, Senior Vice President of Media Relations, Turkish Airlines, said: “Turkish Airlines is offering passengers the unique opportunity to discover the history, culture, and cuisine of one of the world’s most interesting cities, free-of-charge, in between two flights. We are delighted that this initiative offers our world-class services not only up in the skies but in the streets of Istanbul, allowing passengers to create lasting memories. ‘TourIstanbul’ underlines our commitment to ‘Widen Your World’.”

‘TourIstanbul’ enables passengers to make the most of their journey by offering them a complimentary adventure within their trip. For instance, a passenger travelling from Dubai to Paris with a six-hour connection in Istanbul, will enjoy discovering the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, The Grand Bazaar, guaranteeing that stopovers will be nothing short of insightful and culturally enriching.

All passengers with an international transit flight through Istanbul with Turkish Airlines and a layover between six to 24 hours, between 9am and 6pm can take part in the tour held daily from 9am to 6pm; 9am to 3pm; and 12pm to 6pm. Passengers must arrive 30 minutes before beginning of the tour.
