The Beetle all set to arrive in UAE in June

DUBAI-It’s official; it’s coming: the next generation of the Volkswagen automotive classic, the Beetle, is set to arrive in Dubai and the Northern Emirates this June. Motoring fans of every age have a treat in store when the bolder, more dynamic and more masculine Beetle arrives in Al Nabooda Automobiles showrooms across Dubai, Sharjah and Fujairah.

As one of the most successful models ever built, the success story of the Volkswagen Beetle has played no small role in making it an icon of automotive history. With a new design and a series of new technologies, the new Beetle reveals itself as a car of the 21^st Century.

The latest version of this legendary compact car, which has been revered by motoring enthusiasts for over seven decades, is powered by an all-new 2.0L turbo and 155 kW/210 hp engine.

We know our customers can’t wait to get behind the wheel of this exciting car and we are anticipating a high demand.

“We are already taking bookings for the three different options we are offering, all of which come with a variety of features suitable to different drivers’ needs.”

The latest generation Beetle breaks free of the geometry of the previous model and displays impressive sports appeal; primarily in its extended bonnet, sharply swept-back windscreen and a longer wheelbase. Modified interior ergonomics have produced an agile, driver-oriented coupé experience while offering a distinctly improved feeling of space with its longer roof section.

Despite its individuality, the styling follows the Volkswagen design DNA with some of the Beetle’s longstanding characteristics remaining the same. These include its round headlights (optional bi-xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights are available for the first time in this model series), the flared wings, the shapes of the bonnets, sides and door sills and – more than ever – the large wheels (up to 19 inch) that can be integrated.

The next generation Beetle will be available at Al Nabooda Automobiles from June 2014 with prices starting at AED 99,900.
