SHARJAH-Sharjah Ladies Club (SLC) hosted the Symphony from the Heart evening, an annual event which celebrates talented young pianists, last Thursday(May 29th).

The event is aimed at proving that music is a universal language for mankind, one that transcends cultural barriers, and that fine music is able to convey a common message which all audiences can understand and interact with.

During the two hour recital, the skilled and gifted young pianists proved that with creativity, the piano would respond to their souls, hearts and fingertips, resulting in the delivery of superb, resounding renditions of classic compositions. Spectators were treated to musical pieces that evoke nostalgia and memories of places, events and characters ingrained in the memory of humankind.

Speaking on the occasion, Sara Al Marzouqi, Manager of SLC’s Art and Educational Centre, said: “The Symphony from the Heart evening is one of the annual events through which we celebrate the emerging artistic talent in the UAE while giving the community the opportunity to meet these young musicians and to enjoy their art. This event not only helps encourage participating children to improve their skills, and to prepare them for future local and international participations, but also enables parents to discover more about their children’s talents and to be familiarized with the center’s efforts in developing these talents from a young age.”

1 (1)1 (1)She added that SLC’s Art and Educational Centre offers a number of art classes and programmes for children and ladies, such as piano, ballet, illustration, art and others, in attempt to nurture and develop emerging talent in the UAE community.
