MANAMA- A key forum spotlighting the history of late Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al-Khalifa concluded today(May 12th). The two-day symposium which documents the biography of Bahrain’s former ruler was held at the Isa Cultural Centre in Manama.
The participants paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister for hosting the event.
They extended thanks to High Islamic Affairs Council President Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al-Khalifa, also ICC board of trustees’ chairman, for patronising the symposium. They also commended the ICC executive director and organisation committee chairman Dr. Khaldoun Aba Hussain and panel members for their efforts to ensure the success of the forum. The final communique stressed Bahrain’s resolve to convene conferences and forums to highlight facets of Bahrain’s history.
It affirmed plans to support research projects which publish documents and manuscripts relating to Bahrain’s history and the GCC inter-state relations. It unveiled plans to shed light on historical leaders and influential figures which played a key role in regional history and impacted events, including the late Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al-Khalifa -BNA
