RIYADH- The Saudi Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday(May 14th) that 16 persons tested positive for the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS or coronavirus) in the last 24 hours.
The figure includes two deaths of the fatal disease in addition to three deaths who were earlier diagnosed as MERS patients, the ministry said in a statement on its website.
The 16 new infection cases are located as nine in Riyadh region, five in Jeddah and two in Madina, according to the statement.-KUNA
