Saudi-American Trade and Investment Council kicks off meetings
WASHINGTON- Saudi-American Trade and Investment Council started yesterday(April 28th) the meetings of the 4th session of its Joint Committee formed under the terms of the Framework Convention for the development of trade and investment relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America signed by the two sides in Washington at the end of July 2003.
The aim of the joint committee’s current meetings is to explore ways to further develop, promote and support cooperation between the Kingdom and the United States in the fields of economy, trade, investment and technology.
The meetings are expected to discuss the obstacles to ways to promote and increase cooperation as well as barriers to the flow of trade exchanges and lay the sound foundations organizing that so as to achieve the goals and economic, trade, scientific and technical interests of the two countries and ensure application of agreements signed between them.
The Saudi delegation to the meetings includes a number of representatives of the relevant government agencies.-SPA
