DOHA– Qatar Red Crescent (QRC) and Yemen Red Crescent Society signed Tuesday a cooperation and partnership agreement to boost humanitarian work carried out by QRC in Yemen.
The agreement is a quantum leap in the work of the QRC in all parts of Yemen as it will help the Yemeni people by alleviating their suffering, especially those who are affected by natural disasters and economic and health conditions.
The agreement was signed by Yemen Red Crescent Society Secretary-General Fouad Mohammed Al-Makthy and QRC Secretary-General Saleh bin Ali al-Mohannadi.
Under this agreement, QRC will open an office in Yemen to enhance the work of its mission which had been working there for several years, and will coordinate and help in ensuring a higher level of planning, implementation, evaluation and follow-up. (QNA)
