Qatar Airways, the national carrier of the State of Qatar, made a significant impact on the opening day of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) conference. The airline showcased the FIA World Endurance Championship hypercar, which attracted a lot of attention to its stand. Visitors to the ATM were offered the chance to drive the vehicle through a simulation, and Qatar Airways provided a luxurious lounge area that reflected the airline’s commitment to high standards of comfort, quality, and hospitality.
In recent news, the airline has expanded its network to over 160 destinations, with a particular focus on growing its presence in the Gulf region. A press conference hosted by Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, highlighted the airline’s network expansion and tourism developments. The event was attended by the Chief Operating Officer of Hamad International Airport, Engr. Badr Al Meer, and Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Thierry Antinori.
During the conference, His Excellency Mr. Al Baker announced the addition of a new destination, Tabouk, Saudi Arabia, and the resumption of service to Yanbu, Saudi Arabia. The airline already operates 84 weekly flights to the UAE, and it will soon begin services to Ras Al Khaimah, firmly cementing the importance of the region.
In addition to its commitment to expanding its network, Qatar Airways also highlighted its partnership with Formula 1 and its role as the official airline of the world-renowned racing series. The airline launched travel packages in partnership with Qatar Airways Holidays, offering fans exclusive access to high-octane action and unique experiences at each F1 racing event.
Qatar Airways is proud to host the Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS Qatar 2023), a stunning festival showcasing the finest of the automotive industry. The event will provide guests with the best-in-class experiences across travel, hospitality, motorsports, and culture.
His Excellency Mr. Al Baker said, “We are excited to be present at this year’s Arabian Travel Market, and our commitment to offering our passengers world-class products and services remains steadfast as we continue to grow and expand our network. With exciting events lined up in Qatar, we are certain that our country will continue to thrive as a tourism hub for years to come.”
As the Arab Tourism Organization recently named Doha as the Arab Tourism Capital 2023, it solidifies Qatar’s position as one of the world’s most sought-after destinations.
