ABU DHABI- Prince Metib bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard, received today(May 4th) Sheikh Zayed’s Award for Book which has chosen King Abdullah as the cultural personality for 2014 due to his great contributions to cultural, intellectual, scientific and humanitarian fields.
During a ceremony held today, Prince Metib bin Abdullah received the award from General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
n a press statement, Prince Metib bin Abdullah, Minister of the National Guard, thanked Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and the organizers of Sheikh Zayed’s Award for Book.
“On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, I am honored to received this award and to convey the King’s greetings to the UAE government and people. I also expressed happiness of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to receive the Award takes pride in bearing the name of the late Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan,” Prince Metib said.
Prince Metib lauded strong relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates in addition to the constructive cooperation between the two countries in the interest of the Arab, Islamic and international arenas.
He stressed that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques seeks to serve culture, thought and spreading culture of dialogue, tolerance and peace among the peoples of the world.
The handover ceremony was attended by a number of ministers and senior officials.-SPA
