More than 1,030 women already tested for heart health in Dubai

DUBAI-  Majid Al Futtaim is bringing the Go Red for Women campaign to malls across the nation and the next stop is Deira City Centre, where heart health testing will be offered for women on May 16th and 17th from 10:00am-7:00pm.  To-date, more than 1,030 women have already taken charge of their heart health in just two weeks, following Mirdif City Centre and Mall of the Emirates’ campaign drives.

This weekend at City Centre Deira, qualified medical specialists from the Ministry of Health and City Centre Clinic will be administering a series of tests including blood pressure, blood sugar, body mass index (BMI) and cholesterol levels – key risk factors that can lead to heart disease if left unchecked.  Depending on the results, women at risk will be referred to further consultation at their discretion.

Founded by the American Heart Association in 2004, Go Red for Women has grown into a global campaign with more than 30 participating countries.  City Centre Deira was the first to host this campaign in 2009.  This year, 13 Majid Al Futtaim shopping malls across the UAE, Bahrain, Egypt, Lebanon and Oman are supporting.
