DUBAI- The 3rd annual “Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair” (KYOMAF) will be held in the Japanese ancient capital city of Kyoto from 20th to 21st of September, 2014. The event will showcase the latest of Japanese manga and anime, and it is the largest of its kind in western Japan. The organizer is expecting to draw more than 40,000 visitors this year from Japan and abroad.
Those seeking commercial opportunities with the use of anime and manga characters can directly talk to the relevant counterparts regarding copy rights at the Business Negotiation Zone.
The admission fee for international tourists is free upon presenting their passports.
The Kyoto International Manga Museum will act as a supporting venue during KYOMAF. Opened in November 2006, it is the first comprehensive cultural centre for manga culture in Japan, with collections of manga related materials consisting of more than 300,000 items. The items feature modern Japanese manga, incorporating manga-related historical materials from the Meiji period (1868-1912) as well as comics from around the world. Admission fee is JPY 800 (USD 8) for an adult, JPY 300 (USD 3) for a Junior High School Student (Age 12-15) and JPY 100 (USD 1) for children below 12 years old
