KUWAIT-Minister of Public Works and Minister of Electricity and Water Abdulaziz Al-Ibrahim said on Wednesday(August 20th) that Kabad water treatment plant, costing KD 57 million, is one of major projects in the country.
Following his visit to the project, Al-Ibrahim said in a statement that the project comes in the framework of major schemes that the government seeks to achieve.
The project consists of a pumping plant and a treatment plant with a capacity of 180,000 cubic meters that would be raised to 270,000 cubic meters, the statement added.
The plant will serve Al-Jahraa Governorate, including the cities of Saad Al-Abdullah, Jaber Al-Ahmad, Al-Sulaibikhat, Al-Andalus, Ghernata and Al-Qurain, noted the statement.
The plant treats sewage water to use it in irrigation purposes, it added.
