In a statement to KUNA, Sheikh Salman, who doubles as the State Minister for Youth Affairs, said that today’s meeting was distinguished by a speech delivered by the prime minister of Egypt Ibrahim Mahlab in which he expressed his country’s amity for Arab nations, in particular states of the GCC, and in which he gave an optimistic overview of the social and political situation in Egypt as it transitions into a new future, perhaps fraught with some pitfalls.
The forum, which ends tomorrow, is being attended by more than 2000 Arab and foreign media experts and basically discusses the future of Arab media in a fast-changing global media.
At the conclusion of the forum recipients of the Arab media award will be announced for this year.-KUNA
