BRUSSELS- Greek Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos has described his country’s relations with Kuwait as “excellent” and said he is awaiting with pleasure the visit of Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah to Athens in June.
“We have excellent relations with Kuwait and our target is now to upgrade the level of our economic and political relationship,” he added.
The Kuwaiti Foreign Minister is expected to visit Athens in June to take part in celebrations to mark fifty years of Greek-Kuwaiti diplomatic relations.
Greece, which holds the current EU Presidency, has organized a joint meeting of EU and Arab Foreign Ministers in Athens on June 10. It is said to be one of the most important events to take place under the six-month Greek EU Presidency, which ends June 30.-KUNA
