Fujifilm launches the X30 digital camera

DUBAI- Fujifilm has released the ultimate, premium compact camera for the Middle East region with class-leading functionality, sleek design, enhanced battery performance and unrivalled image quality.

“The X30 delivers premium performance and captures high quality images. Due to its compact and light weight design, the X30 is an ideal camera for photographers, professional and amateur alike, to carry around in their pockets. Quick start-up and fast auto focus speed guarantee that the users will never miss a shot”, stated Mr. Yuta Kawamura, Marketing Manager, Electronic Imaging Division, Fujifilm Middle East and Africa.

Now in its third generation, the X30 replaces the FUJIFILM X20, and features an innovative viewfinder along with new functions. Several improvements ensure a joyous experience for any photography enthusiast.

Photographers around the region will enjoy using the X30 as its light-weight, compact design and unrivalled image quality set it apart. Additionally, with a display lag time of 0.005 seconds, X30’s newly-developed Real Time Viewfinder – which is the largest, fastest and highest resolving viewfinder in its class – gives users a true representation of the image, including exposure previews.

A 12 megapixel 2/3-inch X-TransTM CMOS II sensor ensures high quality, sharp images and fast image processing thanks to its EXR processor II. Further additions include a new control ring along with extra dials and function buttons for more control and a tilting 3.0-inch 920K-dot premium clear LCD monitor. The X30 is capable of shooting approximately 470 photos on one charge thanks to its high battery capacity models and a new, energy-saving design.

The X30 boasts enhanced wireless functions, enables users to seamlessly transfer images from the computer to a preferred device of your choice. What’s more, the Fujifilm Camera Remote application can be used to control the camera and remotely shoot images.

A new control ring positioned behind the manual zoom control allows for immediate change of aperture settings and shutter speed while fine-tuning composition, and, enables the photographer to have better control over the camera enhancing the user experience.

A light but strong magnesium alloy is used for the top and bottom of the body. When held, the camera feels sturdy and allows for a stable grip. Fujifilm’s renowned image quality, produced through the development of photographic films, helps to reproduce warm skin tones, bright blue skies and rich green trees in beautiful colours, just as they were in real life.

The X30 features the unique ‘Lens Modulation Optimizer’ image processing technology which maximizes lens performance by correcting optical effects such as diffraction based on optical performance and characteristics of each lens setting.

X30 delivers high-speed performance, along with high resolution and low noise. With the world’s fastest auto-focus speed of 0.006 seconds, a start up time of 0.5 seconds, shutter time lag of 0.01 seconds, and shooting interval of 0.3 seconds means that users will never miss a photo opportunity.

The X30 shoots video in full high definition format at 60 fps and high-speed continuous shooting of 12 fps (18 frames continuously during JPEG shooting) at full resolution is possible.

Fujifilm’s designers have paid incredible attention to detail when designing the X30’s high precision lens. It is made up of 11 glass elements in nine groups, including three aspherical lens elements and two ED lens elements. The result is an ultra-bright lens with a wide-angle maximum aperture of f/2.0 and telephoto maximum aperture of f/2.8.

The optical 4x manual zoom lens allows quick, precise control over composition. The use of metal for the lens barrel and its internal structures provides a really smooth zooming action, while the Super Macro mode allows you to get as close as 1 cm from your subject for stunning close-up shots.

Additionally, the X30’s lens incorporates seven diaphragm blades which enable you to create a beautiful soft ‘bokeh’ effect to make your subject stand out from the background.

To add to the creativity of the photographers, Fujifilm has included their traditional films that can be used as different filters to add different effects.

X30 will be available in two colour options: black and silver.
