Emirates A350 Begins Regular Service to Muscat

DUBAI/MUSCAT (July 3, 2025) — Emirates’ highly anticipated Airbus A350 has officially begun daily operations between Dubai and Muscat, making it a regular feature at Muscat International Airport.

Originally scheduled for a July 1 launch, the deployment of the next-generation aircraft was advanced by a week. Flight EK866 departs Dubai at 2:15 a.m. and lands in Muscat at 3:30 a.m. The return flight, EK867, leaves Muscat at 4:40 a.m. and arrives in Dubai at 5:55 a.m., offering seamless onward connections to Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia.

Configured in three classes, the aircraft offers a total of 312 seats: 32 lie-flat seats in Business Class (1-2-1 layout), 21 Premium Economy seats (2-3-2), and 259 Economy Class seats (3-3-3). All cabins feature higher ceilings, wider aisles, enhanced seat ergonomics, upgraded lighting, high-speed Wi-Fi, and Emirates’ latest in-flight entertainment system.

The introduction of the A350 underscores Emirates’ continued investment in Oman, with Muscat joining a select group of cities in the region to welcome the airline’s new aircraft. Other destinations already served by the A350 include Kuwait, Bahrain, Dammam, Amman, Edinburgh, Mumbai, Tunis, Colombo and Ahmedabad. Emirates currently operates seven A350s and plans to serve 17 destinations with the aircraft by year-end.

In addition to the daily service, Emirates has added two weekly flights between Dubai and Muscat on Thursdays and Saturdays. Flight EK862 departs Dubai at 7:55 a.m., arriving in Muscat at 9:05 a.m. The return, EK863, departs Muscat at 11:25 a.m. and reaches Dubai at 12:30 p.m.

More information and bookings are available via emirates.com, the Emirates App, retail outlets, contact centers or travel agents.
