A Heartfelt Thank You to Dubai RTA and Emirates for Their Unmatched Support in the Swift Repatriation of a Keralite’s Body

DUBAI witnessed a poignant moment as Muhammad Haneefa, a dedicated Dubai RTA employee for over fifteen years, bid a tearful farewell after his unexpected demise from a brain hemorrhage. In the face of profound grief, Dubai RTA and Emirates Airlines demonstrated firm support, ensuring the swift repatriation of the departed Keralite expat’s body.

Amidst mourners, Dilkash, Haneefa’s son, traveled from Kerala to be by his side during the arduous battle, deeply feeling the weight of his father’s passing in the mourners. His sole wish was to quickly repatriate his father’s body to their homeland within a narrow 10-hour window, avoiding another agonizing 24-hour delay.

Guided by compassionate souls, Sheikh Ruman and Majid Mohammed from the RTA’s Driver Affairs Department took charge of the repatriation arrangements. Their dedication and tireless efforts surpassed their official duty’s end time, navigating intricate logistics until midnight, ensuring the necessary documents were tenderly submitted. Haneefa’s body was entrusted to an Emirates flight bound for Kochi, crossing multiple departments within the final hours. Shabeer Ali TPV from RTA’s Human Resources department also supported us throughout the entire process.

Simultaneously, Safia Ali, the Executive Secretary to Mr. Adil Al Ghaith, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations at Emirates Airline, worked closely with her dedicated team at the Emirates Cargo office to ensure the body’s timely repatriation. Grateful acknowledgments go to Hatem Omar, Media Relations Manager at Emirates Airline, for his invaluable support throughout the process.

In a touch of grace, amidst the farewell, Dilkash received a reassuring call from Hind Al Mehairi, RTA’s deputy director, manager of driver services & recruitment department. Her gentle words filled him with gratitude and brought comfort to his weary heart. The attention and kindness displayed by Hind Al Mehairi, Sheikh Ruman, and Majid shine as beacons of inspiration, embodying a legacy of love nurtured by Dubai’s visionary ruler, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
