Dubai International Academic City, Dubai Knowledge Park, The University of Manchester Middle East Centre Join Forces To Promote UAE Education

Dubai-UAE: 7 March, 2021 – Dubai International Academic City and Dubai Knowledge Park have collaborated with The University of Manchester Middle East Centre in Dubai to launch a regular series of events focused on education and developing new skills.

The two business districts – home to more than 27,000 students – and The University of Manchester will work together to explore and identify opportunities across the academic landscape. Together, they will develop a new webinar series focused on issues that promote learning and development in the UAE.

Under the partnership, the first virtual panel discussion will coincide with International Women’s Day on Monday, 8 March. Under the theme Choose To Challenge. The first webinar features an all-woman panel that will address why a challenged world is an alert world. And why from challenge comes change.

Moderated by Hiba Abbassi, Manager of Careers & Alumni Relations at the University of Manchester’s Middle East Centre, the participants include Trixie LohMirmand, Executive Vice President, Dubai World Trade Centre; Maazza Al Magthob, Director of Patient Experience at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi; Justine Corrado, Founder & CEO of Basiligo; and Shiraz Elsaid, Products & Business Development Manager at Bank of Khartoum.

Dubai International Academic City is home to 27 universities from nine countries, and regularly hosts panel discussions and collaborates on joint research projects to support its community’s quest for knowledge.

Dubai Knowledge Park has been enabling professional development since 2003 and boasts among the finest education and vocational training programmers, alongside world-renowned universities and human resource management companies and recruitment consultancies.
