DUBAI- Dubai Regulation Conference kicks off this October in its 1st edition under the theme “Regulation: The gateway to excellence and innovation in healthcare.”
The Dubai Health Regulation Conference, held in conjunction with the Medical Tourism Exhibition, is taking place on the 22nd and 23rd of October at the Conrad Hotel, Dubai.
The Dubai Health Regulation Conference is organised by Dubai Health Authority and in cooperation with Index Conferences and Exhibitions Organisation Est. – member of Index Holding.
Dubai Health Regulation Conference will cover a number of relevant topics during its workshops, panel discussions and lectures that will highlight key topics related to improvement of quality in healthcare.
The conference will be attended by healthcare professionals, policy makers, investors, researchers and other entities with an active interest in health regulations and medical tourism.
In this context, Dr. Ramadan Ibrahim, Director of Health Regulation at the DHA, and chair of the conference said: “The importance of the Dubai Health Regulation Conference in its 1st edition comes from the important role of health regulations in the growth and improvement of the healthcare sector. Regulation of healthcare facilities and healthcare professionals is key in maintaining patients’ safety which is our constant goal.”
Dubai Health Regulation Conference will bring together local and international specialists, professors, academics and important key players in this specialized sector to discuss various topics of health regulation.
Dr. Layla Al Marzouqi, Assistant Director in the Health Regulation Department, Head of Clinical Governance and chair of scientific committee said: “During the two-day event, Dubai Health Regulation conference will discuss various topics such as: Enabling a Safer Health Environment, Quality Assurance, Evaluation of Medical Discipline, Malpractice, and Regulation in Rapidly evolving Sectors. These topics will be covered by international speakers from UK, Canada, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Thailand and many other local speakers.”
Keynote speakers participating in the conference include Mr. Nial Dickson, CEO of General Medical Council and Chair elect of IAMRA, Dr. Fleur-Ange Lefebvre, Executive Director and CEO of the Federation of Medical Regulatory Authorities of Canada (FMRAC), Mr. Jon Billing Director – Strategy, The Nursing & midwifery Council, Dr. Samer Al Lahham Chief Quality Officer, Cardiologist, in Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC), Mrs. Salma Al Jaouni, CEO – Accreditation Council in Jordan, and Prof. Dr. Abdulaziz H. Al Saigh, Secretary General in Saudi Commission For Health Specialties.
Workshops related to the medical tourism industry and enhancing the patient experience as a key to the success of medical tourism, will be running parallel to the conference and will display the excellent medical tourism facilities that Dubai’s private sector have to offer. The exhibition will bring together tour operators, medical tourism facilitators & other entities who have keen interest in medical tourism in order to highlight the various healthcare facilities in the emirate of Dubai.
