Dubai denies AED10,000 salary rule for family visa

Dubai: An official at the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs has denied reports the minimum salary limit for sponsoring a family has been increased to AED 10,000, Dubai’s leading  English Daily Gulf News reported on Sunday.

“So far there is no change,”   Gulf News quoted an official as saying, denying earlier reports the salary requirement to sponsor a family had been raised from Dh4,000 to Dh10,000.

“Transactions are taking place as we speak on the normal aED 4,000 salary requirement,” the official said.If there was any change in the visa rules, he added, it would be announced at federal level.
