DMCC Executive Chairman to take on 6 month juice journey with Fresh Juice Bar

DUBAI- Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman of DMCC, the largest and fastest growing Free Zone in the UAE, is taking his drive to promote the benefits of a healthy lifestyle to the next level by extending his juice journey for another six months.

Mr Bin Sulayem will be consuming juices and smoothies only, provided by the newly opened Fresh Juice Bar UAE, based in the DMCC Free Zone, Jumeirah Lakes Towers.

Fresh Juice Bar UAE offers affordable cold pressed juices using quality ingredients, which offer more health benefits than juices produced with a centrifugal juicer. As cold pressed juicers do not shred produce with blades; air and heat are minimised, which decreases oxidation and the degradation of nutrients and live enzymes.

Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman, DMCC, said:“I was pleased with the results from my initial 30 day juice cleanse during Ramadan and after consulting medical and nutritional experts, I have decided to embark on a 6 month  juicing programme, using products from the Fresh Air Juice Bar and the David Barnes Juice ME app this time for 6 months straight.

“Recent studies have shown significant benefits to a long term juice only diet, as the body uses preserved energy from not having to digest solids to heal and rejuvenate organs, cells, and tissue as well as effectively rid itself of inflammation, fat, and toxins. That is one of the reasons why I will commit to this programme whether in the office or on business travels.

“The Fresh Juice Bar UAE is providing a specialised programme with the juices and smoothies containing a natural raw supplements. I will continue consulting with my nutritionist and fitness experts throughout my juice journey and I am looking forward to raise further awareness around the benefits of healthy eating.”

Patsy Horianos, Managing Partner of Fresh Juice Bar UAE and a qualified personal trainer and nutritionist, stated:“When you learn healthy eating habits, you start craving the right kind of foods instead of the processed and unhealthy food-like products we normally consume daily. This resets your relationship with food and you are more likely to want to stick to a clean diet. On another level, on a long-term juice fast, people feel a deeper emotional and spiritual connection, and mental clarity.

“We are excited to collaborate with Mr Ahmed Bin Sulayem and welcome others to visit our new outlet to learn more out our philosophy, juices and special programmes.”

Fresh Juice Bar UAE operate out of the Take-A-Break coffee shops in JLT clusters F and M. The company, due to Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman, DMCC’s commitment to a healthy lifestyle, have decided to launch an initiative for the JLT community whereby juice packages will be offered at a discounted rate.

FRESH & Fit – Don’t be Juiceless! will be open to everyone, and the aim is to motivate people to make a change in their lives, and will also offer exercise boot camps, to be held in JLT for eight weeks at a time. Participants will be weighed in and prizes will be awarded to those who lose the most weight, and those whose fitness improves the most (based on a fitness assessment).

The DMCC and its Executive Chairman, Ahmed Bin Sulayem are committed to fitness and health. Around this time last year Bin Sulayem held the DMCC Kobe Bryant Health and Fitness Weekend in Support of Diabetes Awareness. From sports to education, it is also the second year running that DMCC and its employees walked the Dubai Cares Race for Education as part of its continuous support for the organisation and its work to provide children with a better education.

Bin Sulayem ensured DMCC sponsored Dubai Municipality’s ‘Your Weight in Gold’ 2013 campaign which attracted over 10,000 people who committed to the 30 days health and fitness programme. The reward in addition to improved health and fitness was 2 grams of gold for every person who lost 2 kilos within the month.

More recently the DMCC Executive Chairman also opened a park for 85,000 people working and living in the DMCC Free Zone which includes running tracks, the Kobe Bryant basketball court and exercise equipment. It is hoped that these initiatives will spark more interest in exercise and raise increased demand for additional amenities for the benefit of the community.
