Al Ain, : Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi) is organising a series of engaging educational workshops for children between the ages of 6 and 13, starting from 19th August 2017 and continuing for two weeks at Al Qattara Art Centre, in Al Ain.
The restored centre, which maintains a blend of traditional architecture with state-of-the-art facilities, features a dedicated dry studio for music classes and handicrafts, a wet studio for drawing and painting, a fully-equipped pottery studio, a digital room suitable for photography and computer classes, a spacious calligraphy studio as well as an exhibition hall, cafe and library.
The new summer courses aim to teach children useful technical and creative skills using different materials. The courses include a Painting and Colouring workshop on Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from 5pm to 7pm, an Art of Paper workshop on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11am to 1pm, and the Decoupage workshop on Mondays and Thursdays from 5pm to 7pm.
