DUBAI-India’s two top new-generation singing stars Ankit Tiwari and Bhoomi Trivedi are set to regale the UAE’s music lovers with their highly popular love anthems when they perform at Dubai’s Madinat Jumeirah next month. The event, called “Sun Raha Hai Na Tu” Concert, is presented by Classic Concepts on May 29.

The duo, part of an emerging new generation of independent Indian music talents, will mark their UAE debut with some of the most soulful and sensuous melodies of recent times, in a starry night that combines music, comedy and variety entertainment.

While Ankit Tiwari appealed to the younger generation by composing and singing his soulful “Sun Raha Hai Na Tu” in last year’s love tragedy Aashiqui 2, Bhoomi Trivedi stormed the hit charts with her sensuous “Ram Chaahe Leela Chaahe” from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s critically acclaimed Ram-Leela. Both movies were hailed by critics for bringing romance back into the mainstream, with music being instrumental in the success.

“It has been a coup of sorts for Classic Concepts to be able to bring together some of the most fantastic talents in recent times,” says Sonal Rawal, Director-Operations of Classic Concepts. “Ankit and Bhoomi are the voices of the young generation and between them, they have a great repertoire of songs that will strike a chord with diehard music lovers here. The event will also witness a fusion of established as well as emerging talents currently ruling the entertainment scene today.”

Spicing up the evening will be celebrity stand-up comedian Gaurav Sharma, who combines his deadpan humour with poetry to speak about every-day issues affecting the common man. Sharma has won several national awards, including the Mega Final winner of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge and Comedy Ka King Kaun.

Another interesting addition to the event will be the Middle East debut of the uncle-nephew duo of Sharad and Bharat Gandhi, who use a range of facial expressions to communicate with each other. Using elements of entertainment, suspense and music, the Surat-based brothers have become hugely popular around the world.

The event takes place at Al Joharah Ballroom in Madinat Jumeirah. Tickets will be available from May 10th.
