Sharjah’s Al Majaz Waterfront has announced its line-up for Eid Al Adha with an impressive mix of exciting acts and plenty of audience participation. The spectacular activities, taking place from 5:30pm – 9:30pm on Friday 1st, Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd September, will provide a perfect venue for families to enjoy the festive period.
Situated on the picturesque Khalid Lagoon, among lush green parks, Al Majaz Waterfront is one of Sharjah’s premier attractions for visitors during Eid, and the exceptional acrobatic shows, daring fire artists and stunning balancing acts are sure to exceed expectations. The roaming parade with LED costumes takes place three times each night and will be one of the highlights of the celebrations, with the performers meeting the crowds as they march to the infectious rhythms of their drums.
As well as the sensational entertainment offered from the Sharjah Fountain, there is also a host of delicious international cuisine and a chance to enjoy a ride on the water karts towards the picturesque view of Al Noor Island and the city skyline on the horizon.
Mohammed Fadhil Al Mazroui, Manager of Al Majaz Waterfront, said: “As always, we try to provide a very different experience for our visitors at Eid, filling the schedule with more and more exciting new acts each time and giving families an experience they will not find anywhere else. Our entertainment for Eid Al Adha is extremely lively and provides constant opportunities to get involved with the performers. This is a truly unique setting not just for celebrations but also for guests to enjoy our wonderful restaurants and cafes which add to our international reputation.”
Al Majaz Waterfront is a key leisure destination among UAE residents, and a popular tourist attraction for overseas visitors. It hosts a variety of artistic and entertainment activities through the year, including film screenings and stage shows, and is considered one of the best organisers of the UAE’s New Year’s Eve fireworks. They are also host to the Maraya Art Centre – an internationally recognised platform for regional and international art projects.
An eclectic mix of local and international food and beverage outlets, including El Manza, Pizzaro, TGI Friday’s, Zahr El-Laymoun, Caribou Coffee, Shakespeare and Co, Tim Hortons café and Zaroob, is flanked by the lagoon on one side and some of the city’s most stunning architecture on the other.
