Al Ain v/s Man City:Fans' reaction

AL AIN-Football fans and residents of Al Ain told how they were wowed by the spectacle of the biggest event to be held at the brand new Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium.

The 20,000 plus home fans were treated to an amazing display on and off the pitch and not could have been in better spirits after watching some of the world’s best players in action at the Home of UAE Football.

Drummers, dancers, acrobats and football freestylers began entertaining the crowds outside the stadium at 6pm alongside a host of fan activations organised by Al Ain FC, all before the teams took to the field to rapturous applause.

The night was rounded off in truly spectacular fashion with a dramatic fireworks show that lit up the Al Ain night sky and brought the curtain down on a wonderful evening of world-class entertainment.

“This is what we have hoped for since we heard the plans for the stadium,” said Al Ain resident David Furlow. “Everything from the football to the fireworks has been amazing and we are hoping for many more great events here in the future – it is just great for the community of Al Ain”

“It has been an amazing experience for me and my family,” said Al Ain supporter, Monahmmed, who travelled with his family from Abu Dhabi. “We are big supporters of Al Ain and we are big football fans in general and to see in the flesh the players we see on television each week is a dream come true.

“I would really like to thank them for coming and thank Al Ain club for allowing the fans to witness such a great event.”

“I love all the players for Manchester City,” said 9-year-old Thomas who travelled from Abu Dhabi with his brother and dad. “I like Vincent Kompany and Samir Nasri the best. They are very good and I think they should come and play for Al Ain.”

“What an night!” said Farhad, an Al Ain supporters from Dubai. “Through in the Champions League and now this; what a great week! What a great time to be involved with Al Ain.”

“The stadium has transformed the club and the city,” said Al Ain resident, Faisal. “This game would not have been possible without the Hazza Bin Zayed stadium. It is an exciting time for everyone who lives here in Al Ain.”
