Agthia Awarded at Prestigious Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Awards

Abu Dhabi: Agthia Group PJSC, one of the region’s leading food and beverages companies, has been awarded at the 2020 Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Awards (SKEA), for its business excellence in manufacturing, in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Member of Abu Dhabi Executive Council. Hosted by the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI), more than 50 companies from the private and public sectors competed to win at the SKEA 2020 ceremony, which took place on 26 February 2020 at Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi.

HE Eng. Dhafer Ayed Al Ahbabi, Chairman of Agthia Group said: “It’s a privilege and tremendous honor for Agthia to receive the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Awards. Named after our visionary leader, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, we hold this award near and dear to us, as it stands as a testament to our enduring contribution to the nation’s excellence agenda.”

Launched by the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ADCCI) in 1999, SKEA aims to enhance the competitiveness of the business sector in Abu Dhabi and the UAE, as well as works as a blueprint, roadmap and methodology for continuous business excellence improvement.

Across a variety of sectors, each year SKEA recognizes companies that demonstrate continuous business excellence improvement and high performance to support a healthy economy and integrate management best practices through a holistic approach. SKEA asses participating companies through the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) model and winners are chosen through successfully implementing criteria recommended by the model.

Agthia has been steadfast in its efforts to implement the best international practices in all its activities and to provide innovative solutions that support consumers’ healthy lifestyles and its commitment to sustainability through practices and application of environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) standards across the company’s business operations and measuring the impact on the environment.
