ABU DHABI- H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, yesterday(May 18th) received a delegation of members of the United States Congress headed by Representative Michael T. McCaul, Chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security.
During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between the U.A.E. and the United States, as well as discussing opportunities for boosting cooperation between the two countries in various fields of common interest.
Sheikh Abdullah and the delegation also exchanged views on the latest developments in the international and regional arena and review initiatives and international efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region.
The parties also highlighted the importance of joint cooperation between the two countries in enhancing the chances for peace, consolidation of stability and pushing development efforts in the Middle East.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed noted progress in the relationship between the two countries, the exchange of visits at the highest levels, and the strategic partnership, which included all areas of bilateral agreements in most fields, and similar stances towards the issues of the region and the world.-WAM
