SALALAH- The 9th Gulf Blind Forum was concluded at Hamdan Plaza Hotel in Salalah today(August 28th) under the auspices of Sheikh Bukhait bin Said al-Kathiri, Wali of Taqah.
The forum included lectures, discussion panels and workshops that aimed at development and benefiting from the experiences of individuals and Al Noor societies in the Sultanate, in addition to the GCC societies, Iraq and Yemen that participated in the forum.
The forum also included a poetry night, recreational and cultural competitions, and sports events, in addition to visiting major tourist and entertainment attractions in Dhofar Governorate, as well as visiting the Salalah Tourism Festival.
The forum aimed to exchange experiences and highlight the cultural aspects of the blind, together with the society’s keenness to spread culture and education among the blind and vision-impaired persons by all means available.
At the end of the concluding ceremony, the chief guest distributed certificates to individuals and delegations participating in the forum, as well as honoring the supporters and sponsors of the forum.-ONA
